MOUNTAIN LAUREL LOOP TRAIL is 2.75 miles
hike.. Hike this trail in mid-June to see the mountain laurel in
full bloom. A beautiful park/trail with kettle pools and dense
vegetation. A trail map is available at the
Southampton Trails Preservation Society.

to complete. This trail takes you by fresh ponds, marshes, swamps,

BIG WOODS PRESERVE is 333
acres in size. Big Woods is part of one of the most extensive salt
marsh-tidal creek systems remaining in the Peconic estuary. In
addition to the mature forest of oaks, American beech, and white
pine for which Big Woods is named, the preserve includes freshwater

a beautiful and tranquil 148-acre park, maintained by Southampton
Trails Preservation Society, is definitely worth a visit. a little
gem of a park, situated in Noyac. Where it is mentioned it’s
described as a "passive park for hiking and bird watching."

PRESERVE is
100 acre
large and is the centerpiece of a 200-acre patchwork of preserves.
It includes an extraordinarily beautiful oak, hickory, beech
and laurel forest with views of the man-made Mulvihill Pond,
streams, smaller ponds, and glacial erratics. It is a lovely hike,

PRESERVE is a half-mile nature
trail that takes you through this 26-acre park. It is a great place
for winter waterfowl watching. If you are an energetic hiker, you may
be tempted to follow the trail parallel to the railroad tracks,
under the overpass, to Narrow Lane and then head north on Haines Path
