Sag Harbor/Southampton 
LONG POND GREENBELT TRAIL
is a  3.5 mile hike that will take about 2 hours to complete. This trail takes you by fresh ponds, marshes, swamps, and brooks. The map available for purchase from the Southampton Trails Preservation Society is a necessity for this unmarked trail. More info/photos

LONG POND GREENBELT TRAIL

North Sea 
BIG WOODS PRESERVE is 333 acres in size. Big Woods is part of one of the most extensive salt marsh-tidal creek systems remaining in the Peconic estuary. In addition to the mature forest of oaks, American beech, and white pine for which Big Woods is named, the preserve includes freshwater wetlands, beaches, and tidal marshlands. More info/photos

Noyack 
LAUREL VALLEY COUNTY PARK
is a beautiful and tranquil 148-acre park, maintained by Southampton Trails Preservation Society, is definitely worth a visit. a little gem of a park, situated in Noyac. Where it is mentioned it’s described as a "passive park for hiking and birdwatching."

MULVIHILL PRESERVE
The Mulvhill Preserve is 200 acre forest including beech, oak. A 4 mile walk take you on to see Mulvhill Pond plus streams, ponds and glacial erratics. The hike begins on Brick Kiln Road, 0.4 mile north of Scuttle Hole Road, across from Bridge Lane in Bridgehampton.
