Southampton
POXABOGUE
PRESERVE is a half-mile nature
trail that takes you through this 26-acre park. It is a great place
for winter waterfowl watching. If you are anenergetic hiker, you may
be tempted to follow the trail parallel to the railroad tracks,
under theoverpass, to Narrow Lane and then head north on Haines Path
to the entrance to the Long PondGreenbelt. More info/photos

parcel that is the site of Ft. Corchaug, a Native American fort,
which is listed on the National Park Register of Historic Places.
Downs Farm Preserve has a miles of passive recreation trails and

GOLDSMITH INLET PARK
is a 35-acre parcel with a 1/2 mile trail leading to Long Island
Sound, from the trailhead, located on Soundview Avenue. The mature
woodlands, tidal wetlands, Goldsmith Inlet Pond and 1500 feet on L.I.
